Para-Pipeline Program

The Para-Pipeline program is for working paraprofessionals without two year math transfer degrees, who want to become secondary math teachers. Students must meet specific program criteria in order to be admitted. The program provides support and tuition scholarships and is an approved alternative route to teacher certification program.

Students pursue the associate in math education DTA/MRP degree at Seattle Central and transfer to an approved university alternative route program to earn their teaching credential. Students must complete the program at SCCC within 2 years. In addition, students must teach math when they graduate in a WA state public middle or high school in order to receive the scholarship. Deadline is August 31st to submit all materials for Fall program admittance.
