Basic Skills Test Prep Course (for Future K-12 Teachers)

West-B and West-E: The WEST-B (Washington Educators Basic Skills Test) is required for all students transferring into any university teacher preparation program in Washington State. Students need to register in advance to take the test and must take the exam in order to be admitted to a teacher preparation program.

The WEST-E is an exit exam that will be required beginning September 1, 2005, for all candidates adding an endorsement to a new or existing Washington teaching certificate.

Basic Skills Test Prep Course: Teacher Training/Education Programs at Seattle Central Community College offers a non-credit course designed to help you prepare for the WEST-B.
